Blendtec Total Blender

The Blendtec Total Blender is an All in One blender which can liquify your nuts, seeds, and leafy green vegetables into a smoothie or juice in seconds. The high powered Blendtec blender is the most affordable of the Blendtec line and can give you the advanced blending capabilities as a Vitamix blender. It has a square jar design which works great, the blender pulls ingredients down into the blade so as long as you don’t over fill the blender jar you don’t have to hold the lid. The Blendtec also has automatic features for smoothies, juices, soups, ice creams, dips, and margaritas. The automatic features are great; they’re designed specifically for the blend you are going for. Similar to a Microwave, there is a timer which reads off the time of the blend, then when it’s finished it stops on it’s own, so you can push the button and walk away without having to worry about stopping the blender; also the lid doesn’t fly off because the blade design pulls ingredients down into the blade. Currently being offered at $279 from the manufacture, this is the most affordable of the Blendtec blender line.

Blendtec Total Blender vs Other Blendtec Blenders

Blendtec blender models vary in price depending on their different design. Blendtec offers two lines of Blendtec models; the Classic Series and the Designer Series. The Total Blender Classic is apart of the Classic Series of the Blendtec models which offer push button features. The Designer Series Blendtec models are slightly more advanced with a bigger heavier base and slide touch blender technology for their controls. Overall The Classic Series models and Designer Series models give you the same consistencies and overall power, the motor is the same in most models and all the Blendtec models including the Blendtec Pro 800 commercial blender use the same Blendtec Wildside Jar which now come standard with all Blendtec models.

Blendtec Total Blender Features

The Blendtec Total Blender has 6 automatic features on it’s controls which read off what the button does. The buttons are automatic and easy to use, each button is set up to run a specific timed cycle where you as the user can simply push the button and walk away from the machine.

The Automatic buttons include, from left to right, Ice Cream, Milk Shake, Hot Soup, Sauces/Dips, Juice, Smoothie. Each button is set differently to run a different timed cycle.

There is a timer on the front of the Blendtec Total Blender which reads off how much time the cycle will take to blend. When you push the button the blender starts and you can see the time count down to zero.

The manual speeds on the Blendtec Total Blender are set up so you can control the blend yourself, they’re TEN SPEEDS on the Blendtec Total Blender which you can choose from.

The Pulse button allows you to do a short burst, it’s a powerful button and is mainly used to chop ingredients or finish off a smoothie recipe.

Blendtec Total Blender Jar Options

You have 3 options for blending jars which you can choose from with the Blendtec Wildside Jar coming standard with the purchase. The Blendtec Wildside jar has a 4 inch blade and can hold 90 ounces of liquid and is Blendtec’s biggest jar.

The Blendtec Classic Jar is another option and many people like to have it for grinding grains. It has a smaller 3 inch blade and can hold 64 ounces at once.

The Blendtec Twister Jar is Blendtec’s smallest jar and is meant only for thicker recipes such as hummus. It works extremely well for dips.

All the Blendtec blending jars have a 2 blade design which many consumers love because it’s easier to clean than a 4 blade design. You can reach into and round the blade without fear of cutting your fingers and you can easily get a sponge around the blades.

The Blendtec Jars are all made from Eastman Tritan Co Polyester material which is better than plastic because it is not cancerous.

Blendtec Total Blender Warranty

Blendtec offers an 8 year warranty on there blenders which cover the blade, jar, and base. If the blade breaks or the jar cracks or the buttons don’t work just call 1 800 Blendtec and let them know. You’ll have to ship it back to them but they will replace it for free. The Blendtec Jars are really tough to break so it’s unlikely that you’ll have a problem. They are also BPA Free.
